What We're Into - Oct. Faves

Posted on

Crisp days, cool nights, + ever-changing colors. 🍂

Isn't October everyone's favorite? As we're gearing up for Halloween and the rest of the holiday season, we reflect on all the things we have loved recently. From sweaters to hot apple cider to scary movies! This month has been filled to the brim with exciting things! Follow along for some great recipes to try before the fall season is over, tv shows, activities, etc...

Activities:

We love a group activity! Do any of these with your coworkers, friends, or make it a date night! Feel all the vibes and plan out your weekend to be filled with great memories.

1.) Visit a pumpkin patch/orchard

I think we all know this is at the top of everyone's list and a must have to make sure Fall has been celebrated properly. Pick a pumpkin, grab some apple spice donuts, or enjoy some hot cider. This can be family friendly or for just the adults!

*We recommend Huber's Orchard in Borden, IN.

2.) Create a fall photoshoot

I know this sounds a little weird, but trust me, it's a blast! Grab a disposable camera or a polaroid and gather your friends, animals, or partner! Host a fall theme photoshoot dressed as a ghost or a pumpkin. This was a big trend on tiktok and does make for a fun evening. Hit up random spots around town and you've got the perfect spooky content for your fall feed.

Songs:

I think we all know what is about to be said....two words.....TAYLOR SWIFT! Our pop princess is back and we couldn't be happier. I know it's cliche to be a swiftie, but it is just so good. She gives us all the feels and keeps us guessing what is the story behind each song. Either way, we're screaming each song at the top of our lungs.
PS- definitely watch all the music videos. The visuals and easter eggs are insane!

Recipes:

1.) Hot Apple Cider

Can attest that this is my favorite fall treat. I love the coziness it gives and quite frankly, there's no better feeling than holding a warm mug.

2.) Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

Fall = Soup Season! It's a fact, y'all. Polled the office and we voted that roasted butternut squash is the perfect fall soup. I know it's controversial, but I can promise it's a good one for a dinner option.

Books:

Let's replace scary movies with some thriller books! Go out on your patio, bring your favorite blanket, glasses, and a hot cup of apple cider to help keep you company while reading these murder mysteries!

1.) Greenwich Park by Katherine Faulkner
2.) Just Like Home by Sarah Gailey
3.) The Gathering Dark by Olivia Chadha
Might as well pair the perfect frames for your reading sessions:
Left to right: Gemma Styles 'Iris' in Sage, Gemma Styles 'Blink' in Champagne
