Supplies you will need
-
Scissors or Pruners
-
Vase
-
Flowers and accents of your choice
Step one
Choose your flowers! In-season fall blooms are an easy and affordable option for the perfect fall arrangement. You will also want some accents/greenery to add texture and color. A good rule of thumb is to choose 2 different flowers and 1-3 accent options.
Florals
- Mums
- Chrysanthemum
- Black-eyed Susans
- Pansy
Accents
- Floral Buttons
- Berries
- Dried Florals
- Green Leaf stems
- Pampas
Step Two
Once you’ve selected your flowers you will need to prep the stems. Cut each stem at a 45-degree angle 1-2 inches from the bottom or depending on the height of your vase. Next you will want to remove any foliage from your flowers and strip the leaves from the bottom of your accents/greenery.
Step Three
Next you will want to lay all your options on a table so you know what you’re working with. Start by adding your largest flowers into the vase first. Slowly layer your bigger greenery then followed by adding your second flower option. Remember to work in a circle and turn your vase as you place new flowers, making sure the arrangement is symmetrical. Finish the arrangement by adding the your fall accents like; berries, dried flowers, or flower buttons.
Step Four
Finally you will want to take a final look at your arrangement and make any adjustments making sure all flowers and accents are layered evenly. Top your vase with some water and you're finished!
